It’s one that I scanned off of an old vintage Envelope that I found at an Antique mall. It is a six cent Air Mail stamp from the United States of America. I love the bright red background color and the cream design elements. The plane seems to be embossed by the look of the shadows. Isn’t this a great image?! Featured above is a splendid vintage air mail stamp. I couldn’t find a date, but there are lots of Flapper ladies in it, so I’m going to guess it is from the 1920’s. How cute is that? This illustration was scanned from an old catalog. Such a nostalgic child’s toy with a little boy inside driving it! It is really a pedal car, but is designed like a plane. Pictured above is an Adorable Vintage Toy Airplane Graphic! This one just puts a big smile on my face. I cleaned the image up and enlarged it a lot, as the originals were quite tiny. It is flying through the air with a man at the controls. This Biplane is all open with a very similar design to the Wright brothers ‘first in flight’ plane from 1903. The bottom image has the clouds removed.Ī very early Air Transportation image seen here is from a fantastic 1912 catalog of printing supplies. The top plane has big, fluffy clouds surrounding it. There are two versions displayed, with one surrounded by clouds and the other not.Ībove is another set of Vintage Airplane clip art images from the Type book! These are old Biplanes, and are so named because of the the double–winged design. It is a simple Propeller type aircraft with very basic features such as the two wheeled landing gear.
